The "Research Internship in Telecommunication & Innovation and Entrepreneurship" is a project intended to focus on completing my master's dissertation on the matter of IoT and 5G systems and their potential impact on the climate policymaking cycle. The internship concentrates on the interaction with masters and Ph.D. students and professors of the Telecommunications Institute of the ISCTE to further delve into the outcome of my exploratory research regarding the aforementioned technological innovation for climate-related and SDGs decision-making and policy evaluation. Focusing on the individual learning program seeks to develop entrepreneurship skills and appropriate scientific knowledge to bring ideas into the market. Throughout the placement, I managed to expand the initial IoT-5G systems concept into a potential business concept for a start-up by investigating, analyzing secondary data, contacting experts and market players in the area for feedback and interest while ensuring a viable support project. Thus, unearthing a potential niche market can benefit all stakeholders at a multi-sectoral level to opt for sustainable decision-making processes and options. Show less

During my European Volunteer Service (EVS), I worked with international members and colleagues as an activist, journalist, and Editor of the Greek NGO "United Societies of Balkans (USB) blog posts and It's the bi-monthly magazine "Balkan Beats. Throughout the service, I've added the organization in identifying new opportunities for content production as well as the organization and development of projects of interest within the NGO's core values (human rights, European Institutions, culture, and arts) and their dissemination by coordinating journalistic pieces, social media content (e.g. blog post, photographic novels, and trailers and videos of present and future events) and socio-cultural activities and events such as workshops, cultural and languages exchanges to engage in disseminating further the NGO's mission and image with different target audiences which lead to an increase of audience engagement with the organization and it's volunteers and members.
