Sponsored by Intel Corporation and the Faculty of Engineering, Imperial College London Conducted practical research into the potential benefits hardware acceleration could have in agent-based epidemics simulation models, primarily through the use of FPGA devices. Optimised kernel algorithms using techniques such as loop unrolling, pipelining, shared memory and improving cache locality. Achieved a ~60% increase in memory utilization and 130% speedup in execution time. Created custom applications that utilized webhooks from Hubspot CRM for real-time data analytic research.
