  Optimization of a continuous production system in the "Zero Defects" manufacturing framework.This Thesis presents the management of a continuous production system for polymeric weatherstripping with a metal core for the automobile industry. In the first place, a high-level optimization has been developed capable of offering a configuration of the parameters of the complete line that ensures dimensional quality of the production even in conditions of external uncertainty. In a second place, a low level MPC-based controller of one of the convective ovens present in the line has been designed. Show less
