Campus Minister, Service-Learning Program designer and organizer, and Instructor of Senior Religion
-
nov. 2007 - jun. 2010
As Campus Minister, I trained, directed, and worked collaboratively with a team of student peer ministers to plan and implement liturgies, retreats, and service opportunities. As KAIROS retreat director I trained and guided a team of 7 students and 5 adults to lead a four-day overnight retreat twice yearly. I was retreat director for all grade-level retreats, grammar school retreats, and co-director of all Faculty/Staff retreats. As Campus Minister, I oversaw moderators of clubs/events/programs which include Pro-Life Club, Justice Action at Mission, the Christian Service Program, and various Service-learning immersions like Jesuit Family Teach-in for Justice. I also taught Senior Religion – Christian Lifestyles – which includes the book Fully Human & Fully Alive by Fr. John Powell, SJ and the textbook Vocations. As Campus Minister and Religion Teacher, I work closely with the department chair to insure the continuity of catechesis is seamless inside and outside the classroom. As Service-learning program coordinator, I designed a service-learning model that fits SGMHS and was implemented in Fall 2011. Additionally, as Campus Minister, I was a part of the administrative council; the school’s leadership and decision making team.

High School Youth Ministry and Confirmation Coordinator
-
aug. 2004 - jun. 2007
This progressive multicultural suburban Catholic community is one parish with two churches – St. Elizabeth Ann Seton and St. Augustine Church. There are approximately 400 teens in the High School and Confirmation Programs. As the coordinator, I was in direct ministry with approximately 200 teens through our retreat program, youth group, teen peer ministry team, and sacramental preparations. In addition to administrative responsibilities, I supervised 30 adult catechists, guided 5 parent volunteers who oversaw various ongoing programs such as service projects & liturgical ministries. I also developed a working Youth Advisory Board of 10 adults and 7 teens.
