Acting as an interim director, I’ve been mentoring highly skilled research engineers from NXP Semiconductor R&D center in France on behalf of MR Conseil. Each of them being subsidized by NXP to create their own start-up. I have been coaching each of them, in their market research, MVP, marketing strategy and plan up to product launch. Six start-ups launched since then. One of them being awarded a prize from the Regional Incubator. As the Airsavings’s founder and CEO, I transformed it from a joint procurement service for airlines into a leading B2B SaaS provider of digital ancillary revenues for the travel sector. During the joint procurement phase, I prepared tenders and managed negotiations with suppliers to achieve cost savings of 8-18% per year for customers on procurement volumes ranging from 25 to 40 million EUR. During the joint procurement phase, I prepared tenders and managed negotiations with suppliers to achieve cost savings of 8-18% per year for customers on procurement volumes ranging from 25 to 40 million EUR. At the end of 2005, I pivoted the company into a SaaS provider of ancillary services, recruiting and motivating a team of 22 people across three offices (Paris, Iasi, & Tunis). I implemented partnerships with major players in the sector, such as AXA, ACE Insurance, Europcar, SIXT Rent a Car, MIKI Travel, and more. I also created a network of airport lounges available in 60 airports in Europe, Asia, & Latam. Within a year, selling travel insurance and lounge access online became our growth engine, leading to annual growth of 64% over three years. In 2008, I launched the first carbon offsets service in Africa with low-cost airline Atlas-Blue. From 2010 to 2013, we served over 5 million online customers with a business model and technology that was recognized by the market. I created a multilingual customer support service to accommodate customers in Asia, the Middle East, Europe, and Latin America. I managed the definition and launch of new online services for our airline clients (SkyEurope, Atlas-Blue, & Smartwings) as an on-demand travel concierge. I was responsible for reviewing offers from our payment gateway providers, such as Wirecard and PayPal, and for the creation and launch of one of the top three social networking apps in the online travel sector in 2012. In 2012, I prepared the company for fundraising.
