I manage Jewitt McLuckie & Associates' Long Term Disability Benefits litigation practice. I fight insurance companies, government organizations and employers when they deny disability benefits to workers. This includes long term disability benefits, the CPP disability pension, entitlements under accidental death and dismemberment policies, and critical illness entitlements. I also help disabled workers return to work with proper accommodations and generally work with unions to develop strategies that assist and protect disabled workers.I fight for unions in grievance and interest arbitrations where I regularly address labour and human rights issues. I have successfully represented unions in grievances alleging termination of employment without just cause, unlawful discrimination against disabled employees, improper promotion, insufficient disability benefit coverage, and many other workplace issues.I also represent individual workers who have been wrongfully terminated, who are subject to complaints before their professional regulatory bodies, or who are dealing with human rights issues in the workplace such as discrimination or sexual harassment.
