During my time at Southern Staircase, I reported to Randy covering a span of almost 11 years. I observed Randy's work ethic during periods of explosive growth, as well as significant downturn. Regardless of the business situation, he was always upbeat about the future and demonstrated to our team that we could find solutions to overcome any current problem. He is a visionary and innovator - possessing a drive to understand a situation and implement change to resolve the issue. As a team leader (executive level manager) he leads by example - he values people around him, respects them, is concerned about them as individuals, and will do what he can to help them become successful. I observed him on many occasions taking time out of his hectic day to devote time to an associate who needed "a few minutes" on either a business issue or a personal matter. He led me to be a better employee as he stretched/challenged me to see and implement new ideas while he as there to encourage and guide those changes.
