My responsibilities in this role include: - Perform general patient testing - Maintain and troubleshoot analyzers associated with diagnostic tests - Evaluate quality control data and monitor for shifts and trends - Order and manage proficiency testing for hospital laboratory - Design and lead project to centralize and outsource low volume tests system-wide - Organize and lead onboarding of new testing methods such as Hemoglobin A1c and Covid-19 Antibody tests - Student Educational Ambassador I also took on the roles of Chemistry Lead and later, Blood Bank Lead. Within these roles, my responsibilities included: - Manage yearly competencies for all laboratory associates - Complete annual tasks required by CAP to maintain accreditation - Evaluate linearity data and enter for corporate review - Identify opportunities for improvement with the department
