Guided by science, we are relentlessly committed to bringing transformative new medicines to patients with oncogene amplified cancer. Requisite to our success are boldness, creativity, and collaboration. Our main goal is to develop an entirely new wave of therapeutics, ecDNA-directed therapies (“ecDTx”) intended to transform the lives of patients with aggressive gene amplified cancers. Some of my tasks included: •Performing routine maintenance and expansion of human cell lines •Performing treatments of cells with various therapeutic agents •Performing sample preparation and analysis for cell-based assays •Maintaining detailed experimental notes and summaries of results •Presenting data at small group or larger company meetings •Assay optimization, evaluation, and validation. As an undergraduate student researcher I help with lab tasks and techniques under the supervision of the lab staff. At Humanoid I assist with cell checks and lab techniques and cell maintenance such as pelleting, freezing, and splitting of organoids and fibroblasts along with other cell culture procedures like media changes. I also assist with lab chores such as checking CO2 levels, Autoclaving, and much more.
