    • Store Cashier
      • Apr 2018 - Dec 2018

Working as a cashier was a great position when I returned to Canada. After leaving Egypt, it was nice to get reacquainted with Canadian culture. Being able to have direct communication with the customer was very helpful. This position had several responsibilities that required attention to detail since there would be one person on shift at a time. Some of those responsibilities included transactions, store management, quality assurance, inventory management, lotto count and more. This position was an excellent stepping stone after graduating from university. Great attention to detail and multi-tasking skills were both needed at the reception. It was a fast pace environment with little room for mistakes. I had the advantage of learning many keyboard shortcuts for MS Excel and other MS Office applications. This knowledge assisted in maintaining an efficient and quality customer experience. I used CRM software in this position for registering guests. It was exciting learning to use the software for the first time. Although my time at the casino was short due to my moving back to Canada, I enjoyed it and learned valuable skills in this role.
