Ramya proved an amazing addition to the AdStage team. For years we struggled to deliver at the level of quality we knew we were capable of because we kept missing little things or failed to check how a new feature would interact with another, less-used feature. Ramya changed all that by bringing her amazing attention to detail, thoughtfulness, and consistency to our development process. She worked tirelessly to make sure we delivered at the highest of quality, and she was so nice about it we actually thanked her when she found our bugs! I consider myself lucky to have had Ramya on my team, and would be even luckier if I did again in the future.

Without a doubt, Ramya is by far the best QA engineer that I have ever worked with. She possesses an incredible attention to detail, and her high bar for quality continually drives the engineering team to deliver the best possible product experience. Her thorough test plans and keen eyes have prevented us from shipping numerous bugs, from small UI issues to potentially major regressions. She also always makes the effort to understand how all of our products benefit customers so that she can provide detailed feedback from their perspectives. Through a combination of incredible organization, collaboration, and work ethic, she has streamlined our entire QA and release pipeline. Quarter after quarter, she has set new records for our internal release metrics, shipping ever more features and reducing the number of regressions that reach production. Throughout the release process, she seamlessly juggles communication with stakeholders across all departments to ensure that everyone has a clear picture of the release pipeline at all times. On top of her day-to-day QA tasks, she has even built and maintained an automated browser testing framework that the product engineering team can use to write end-to-end tests for new features. Running a growing suite of automated smoke tests before releases has given us added confidence that we’re shipping high-quality software. Ramya is also incredibly well-rounded and adaptable. Even in a hectic startup environment where everyone pitches in and takes on responsibilities outside of their normal roles, she stood out for her willingness to volunteer for new projects and challenges, ranging from giving weekly company-wide updates to performing regular SRE maintenance on our infrastructure. In short, if you’re in search of a world-class QA engineer who can also help manage projects, facilitate cross-team communication, and enthusiastically wear any other hats that you throw at her, look no further than Ramya.

This includes cutting release branches and builds, cherry-picking key fixes and evaluating risk, release candidate promotion, testing and sign-off, writing release notes, and deploying to production. I do this on a daily basis. Last year, I performed 205 production deploys, with only 4 hotfix patches and 9 release rollbacks. Handled SRE duties with basic db monitoring, backups and failure recovery. Using GitHub for code repo and issue management, git CLI for release branch management, AWS, SumoLogic, ZenHub (for project management), PostMan (for API testing). Initiated the effort to automate testing of IBS’s flagship CRM product for paymedia operators. Created and maintained C# automated FIT tests for every new feature. Identified a subset of these as regression tests to be run after every build. Trained other QA engineers on the test framework. Smoke tested and installed builds on test systems. Worked in a completely agile environment with scrums and sprints, interacting closely with developers throughout 2-week sprints… Show more Initiated the effort to automate testing of IBS’s flagship CRM product for paymedia operators.
