Ramin is one of the best and most broadly-skilled independent software developers that I know. In late 2009, Ramin contacted me to suggest a topic for the iPhone developer meetup that I organize; in January 2010, he gave the lead tutorial in that meetup (http://www.meetup.com/sviphone/calendar/12041035) and in June of 2010, several people told me that our event was deeper and more helpful than similar material that Apple presented at this year's WWDC. Ramin also makes great-looking software. In April 2010, he and I were on a team together that built the "coolest app" award-winner at the iPadDevCamp weekend hackathon. Our app was a distributed slot machine titled "iPad Slot Machine" and was mentioned in USA Today: http://www.usatoday.com/tech/products/2010-06-07-ipadculture07_CV_N.htm For this app, Ramin built a gorgeous animated spinning reel. A month later, I asked him to join me and three others on a shared contract to develop a media browser for a large communications company. Ramin built a beautiful custom browser and provided insight into all aspects of the project. If you need something that has to look great and to be done quickly, Ramin is my top choice!
