During my first year of Masters, I have held a part-time position working for Digital Media Bar and Technical Services Digital Team in the Manchester School of Art. My duties included: -Providing support and answers to basic application and technical issues with Macs and PC’s in the School, especially solving simple printing issues and providing basic advice. Where necessary, I would be reporting any in-depth technical issues to my senior colleagues within the Digital Media Team. -Assisting Manchester School of Art students with queries or issues related to Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, After Effects or Acrobat) -General housekeeping of speciality equipment, such as scanners and printers -Format printers in the School of Art Show less

Part I Architectural Assistant

Throughout my Stage 1 practical experience at Chapman Taylor in Manchester, I have gained valuable experience in a wide range of high profile projects at a variety of RIBA work stages (0/1, 2, 3, 4 and 5). As a Part I Architectural Assistant, I have extensively been involved in numerous feasibility projects (Stages 0-2), where I had been given extremely diverse tasks, including but not limited to: graphics, area and accommodation schedules, 3D modelling (using Revit and Sketchup), site analysis and preparation of Feasibility documents. Working as part of diverse and well-coordinated teams within the office, I have been involved for the first time in a large scale residential project outside the UK, in Baku-Azerbaijan. This has been a great opportunity to expand my knowledge of housing requirements in other parts of the world. Moreover, I have gained valuable experience in successfully meeting deadlines and achieving effective communication whilst working for a client in a different country with a different time zone. During my experience as a Part I Architectural Assistant, I was also responsible for choosing a new and appropriate lighting system for the Chapman Taylor Manchester office, with respect to wellbeing in the workplace. I gained valuable experience working in a wide range of computer software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, Sketchup, Adobe Creative Suite.
