Having received certification from the American Red Cross in Lifeguarding with CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and First Aid, strict adherence to rules and regulations was implemented to ensure that all aquatic activities were conducted under safe conditions. The result of this was a zero occurrence of accidents or incidents. In order to maintain this safe environment, effective leadership and communication skills were displayed in supervising staff and participants in a professional and respectful manner. In addition to the aforementioned duties, the RWJ Summer Camp Program, comprising over 75 children, was successfully supervised in the summers of 2021 and 2022. Through management of children, parents, and staff, a safe and enjoyable experience was provided for all participants. The experience gained as a certified lifeguard and supervisor has led to the acquisition of important skills such as leadership, communication, and problem-solving, which are beneficial in various personal and professional settings.
