I've known Raj for over 10 years as both a friend and colleague. In the late 2000s Raj was a critical supporter of London IA events which benefited a lot of user centred design people in London and beyond. More recently I worked with Raj at Ministry of Justice across the prison and probation programme of work. He has an uncanny ability to work successfully at all levels of an organisation. Quality of work, problem understanding, empathic approach and outputs are bar none. Raj is the real deal. I would always want Raj as part of my team and that is why he is part of the highly esteemed Bright & Matt network.

Raj is equal parts, great designer, fantastic director and all round top bloke. His mission to continually create clean, simple and compelling visual comms is paralleled only by his ability engage enthusiastically and effectively with a vast array of topics. He is brilliant to work for and with. Do it.

I joined Sense Worldwide and its small band of misfits in 1999 as the person who knew how to make stuff look good. From there we steadily grew a small consultancy into a global innovation and strategy business. We pushed the boundaries of traditional brand-led research and focused on a user-centred approach that allowed us innovate across brand, product and services for clients like Nike, SC Johnson, Sonos, Samsung, Converse and Barclays, to name a few. I was a board director and owner until I exited the business in June 2016.

After leaving Gyro I partnered up with Howard Swift. Released from the shackles of an agency we went after design work that excited us, from super club Cream to Juggernaut architects. My experiences at Gyro were invaluable. The agency was in its ascendency at the time working for the early tech giants like Oracle, Sun Microsystems and Compaq. Hard, but rewarding work created a great camaraderie which gave me the confidence to set up on my own. My experiences at Gyro were invaluable. My first design position where I cut my teeth in the thrusting world of the West Country design fraternity. I have very fond memories of working at the Quantock group.
