  Significant Contributions to Technical Education & Society A merit holder throughout her career, Dr. Rajeshwari Wankhade is contributing to the Department of Technical Education in various capacities since last 32 years. An alumnus of prestigious Visvesvaraya Regional College of Engineering. She did her B.E. Civil Engineering in 1985 & M.Tech. Hydraulics in 1990. Her quest for knowledge continued further & she became the first lady to complete Ph.D. in Technical Education, with her area of specialization as Curriculum Development & Implementation. In her illustrious career in Technical Education she successfully performed various tasks and contributed handsomely to the cause of students & society. Contribution to Defence Sector • Offered free guidance to many students of Maharashtra to join Rashtriya Indian Military College Dehradun, National Defence Academy Khadak Wasla, SPI Aurangabad etc. • She prepared many students to face SSB Interview by empowering them through various techniques of Confidence building, Communication Skills & Personality Development. • Delivered Motivational Lectures in various Colleges for students to take up a Career in Defence Forces • Actively associated with Rakshanam Defence Preparatory Academy to motivate Youth of Vidharbha in Joining Defence Forces. Other Contributions • Functioned as NBA Co-ordinator & got 9 Programmes accredited at Government Polytechnic, Nagpur in six months. • Did MOU with 20 Industries on a single day in 2018 at GP Nagpur • Coordinated “Career Fair on Wheels” in 6 Talukas of Gadchiroli. • Won appreciations & awards for significant contribution to the field of Technical Education. • Presently. Dr. Rajeshwari Wankhade is functioning as senior faculty at Government Polytechnic, Nagpur in the Department of Civil Engineering. She is also heading Corporate Social Responsibility Cell of Government Polytechnic Nagpur. Show less
