My formal professional relationship with Rajesh spanned the time we worked at Ashoka together. However, he is someone I have looked up to for a long time given the deep impact he has created in the social sector in India over several years. He, along with a small group of staff at Pravah, has pioneered several innovative approaches and programs to work with youth and adolescents from the most vulnerable groups in India. His empathetic engagement to understand communities, inclusive design-centric approaches and unwavering commitment to social progress makes him one of the most special people I have met during my time in India. Specific to Ashoka, Rajesh and I together grew Ashoka's investment portfolio of social entrepreneurs in South Asia. Rajesh's intellectual humility, conceptual thinking ability and deep understanding of systems is something that really made him a standout colleague. He could successfully curate and implement several ideas that strengthened Ashoka's longest-serving program in the region. Outside of this, Rajesh curated important partnerships for the organisation to ensure long-term sustainability, several of which still exist today. I cannot recommend Rajesh enough for any role that requires an established and high achieving leader. In fact, I am so excited to see where his impact career takes him and wish him all the very best. Thank you for being an incredible colleague.
