I started my role in Blackwell’s at the end of 2019, my first post university role. My daily tasks at Blackwell’s are very varied, meaning multitasking, efficiency and communication were key. Main duties including Supplier statement reconciliations to identify discrepancies before invoices are paid and to identify and claim the correct credits to make ensure the invoice and credit process is compete to avoid potential issues such as over / underpaying.Within this role we had KPI’s to monitor, such as recovering all outstanding aged returns to claim, it was my job to ensure we keep this low, monitored and maintained to prevent potential cash flow problems. Further KPI’s were to clear held invoices which generally require further investigation before it can be paid or written off. Considering these duties and working with tight deadlines, I worked with management and senior staff to create payment plans to ensure we maintained a professional trading relationship between the company and the supplier.

At Carphone Warehouse, I was first appointed in sales where I reached all my targets and exceeded beyond expectation. As I developed thought the company I took on my responsibility, understanding what the company needed to achieve its projected targets. Within a few months I was given the assistant manager title in a new store, showing that I have willingness to learn and adapt very swiftly. In this role, I conducted all admin in the business, maintained and monitored all banking, ensuring everything was up-to-date and intact with compliance with GDPR top of the priority list, making sure customers information was safe and secure and conducting the quarterly company audits of all stock. Other small jobs included staff reviews and attending managerial conferences. Whilst still conducting these jobs as part of the management team I maintained all my personal sales targets and making the whole team achieved their own.
