  • Collaborated with the Kalpakkam Atomic Reprocessing Plant (KARP) to study the tribo-corrosion behaviour of AISI 304L SS employed in the nuclear fuel reprocessing plant. • Carried out sample preparation and polishing, acid preparation, microstructural studies and measuring hardness of metal. • Executed the electrochemical tests(Open Circuit potential, Polarization studies and Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy) required to study the effect of oxidising ions in nitric acid on 304L SS. • Performed tribocorrosion tests to study the wear and corrosion influence in metal degradation • Hands on experience on characterization techniques like SEM, XRD and Surface Profilometry. • Analysing and interpretation of the data acquired from the corrosion and tribocorrosion tests.
