My work is on peritoneal metastases of gastrointestinal malignancies, sarcomas and the application of regional therapies (Hyperthermic Intraperitoneal Chemotherapy-HIPEC, Isolated Hepatic Perfusion -IHP, Isolated Limb Perfusion -ILP). We use national databases (NCDB, SEER, NSQIP) and the Peritoneal Cancer Collaborative Registry to collect data on appendiceal, colorectal, gastric cancers and retroperitoneal and other abdominal sarcomas and melanomas. My primary focus of work is in improving patient selection, quantifying the efficacy of regional therapies,investigating rare tumors and creating evidence based guidelines for their treatment and conducting cost-effective analyses, systematic reviews and meta-analyses.
