Initial Design of 12500T DWT Self Propelled Barge Using ABS Rules and Regulation. Preliminary design & development of a 3D Model of a Self propelled Barge and finding Hydrostatics data, Cross curves and static stability curves data using Aveva Marine 12.1 SP4.13 Initial Design software. The main aim of this project is to prepare a preliminary design of a Self Propelled Barge to meet the Owner’s requirements. Project is done with the help of Empirical Formulae with reference to various ship design books.The order of the project is as follows: Ship dimensions are obtained using basic ship data, literature survey and empirical formulae Design a lines plan and faired offset table using Parent Ship Analysis and BSRA charts.
