As an independent actress, I have been part of a diversity of projects lead by single directors or collectives. Most of the theatre works I participated in are based on the collectiveness as a “moto” for creation and are site-specific. Within the teams I was part off, we thought and built the performance based on a critical topic. The locations and settings where I performed are rarely a theatre house. It is mostly because I like to be part of projects that explore different unconventional spaces (public and private) and challenge the audience and myself to relate to each other differently and make them reflect beyond the black box what could be a theatrical experience. This also allows to tackle the question of aims and accessibility of performing arts: what are we performing, why and for whom? Consumer society, voyeurism, media manipulation, patriarchal systems, fanaticism, pollution, waste management, harassment, materialism, the unlimited constructions at the expense of nature, were topics at the centre of the performances I worked in. I chose theatre as one of the means to speak or question what is happening. Show less
