Events officer for KCL Surgical Innovation Society, working alongside the committee to deliver informative and interesting events for medical students. My role involves--Inviting speakers from academic, industry and clinical backgrounds to speak on topics related to surgical robotics, AI in surgery, 3D printing in surgery, VR and AR in surgical training-Organizing demonstrations of relevant technology that can be applied in the surgical space. Successfully arranged for a 3D printer demonstration at our stall during the 2022 King's Welcome fair. Successfully organized a flagship event on medical image segmentation, modelling and 3D printing for the society with over 40 participants-Organizing visits to Surgical technology labs based at King's and associated hospitals (GSTT)

Self arranged elective in Urology

Self arranged 8 week surgical elective in Urology and some renal medicine focused on robotic surgery, including robotic radical prostatectomy, robotic partial and total nephrectomy, TURP and HOLEP. Observed, understood the role of and used (in simulator mode) the Da Vinci robotic system and other common procedures in Urology and renal theatres. Developed proficiency in basic surgical practices like scrubbing up and suturing while assisting during insertion of ports/closure of incisions.
