Runway Engineering is one of Airside Infrastructure Division's working units which is responsible to ensure that airside facilities, especially the runways and the taxiways, are safe to use. Some of the duties of this unit are to maintain and rehabilitate the pavement of airside facilities. During my internship, I learned a lot about repair and maintenance methods of airside pavement. I was assigned to record and document the results of airside facilities inspections, maintenance activities and repair activities on pavement failures of airside facilities.
