As a sexual violence prevention officer, I teach women, girls and children Empowerment Self Defense using a trauma-informed approach. Participants learn boundaries, assertiveness, negotiation, de-escalation and how to use their voice to stop or prevent assault. As a Lead trainer, I use the participatory learning approach and success-based learning model to ensure every participant gets the maximum understanding of our curriculum. We can’t underestimate the importance of creating a physically and emotionally safe space for everyone, that is free of violence, abuse, and re-traumatization, that promotes healing, wellness, well-being and empowerment and also self-care which is an integral part of the job. Provide technical mentorship and support to NMN assistants and lead trainers to further help them develop their skills and build capacity. Plan, lead and manage NMNW trainings(virtual&in-person) to build the capacity of newly trained instructors, assistant and lead trainers. Design, customize and adapt context specific curriculum and materials as needed for trainings. Provide ongoing support and mentorship, skills development to NMNW instructors as they start implementing the programs in their communities with youth. Develop and maintain positive collaborative relationships with NMN implementing partners by providing country specific technical support over the life cycle of projects. Show less
