      Position: Scholarship Student, Functional Classification: Cooperation Fashion Journalism in Bahia - Historical Meanings and Cultural Transformations Description: This project aims to understand the possibilities of fashion expression in the Bahian media, taking into consideration the production presented in both print and digital media. Thus, we seek to observe how fashion journalism is practiced in Bahia in contemporary times, understanding it as an indicator through which society can be portrayed and interpreted, as well as a catalyst for cultural transformations. From this perspective, this research also seeks to comprehend the cultural universe of appearances, as writing about fashion reveals aspects of the rich network of historical, anthropological, and sociological meanings of the people of Bahia and their culture. It glimpses at unique dimensions of customs, values, and sentiments of the people of this land, as speaking and documenting sartorial practices can often influence the emotional life of the city and its people. In this way, we aim to consolidate the dialogue between fashion, culture, and communication, as well as contribute to the consolidation of what is known as specialized journalism. Accordingly, we intend to observe the specificities of cultural journalism, within which fashion journalism is encompassed. Status: Completed; Nature: Research.
