  As Business Editor, oversees all business and economic news coverage for the daily edition of the El Nuevo Día newspaper, as well as its web content and Revista Negocios, El Nuevo Día’s Sunday business magazine. Also in charge of Puerto Rico Business Insights, GFR Media's recently launched english newsletter. Rafael successfully redesigned Revista Negocios in 2011 and the daily Negocios section in 2013, giving local and foreign entrepreneurs a robust media platform in which they can discuss ideas and opportunities, reveal obstacles and challenges, and offer possible solutions to the island's fiscal and economic woes.In 2013, Rafael launched with the help of colleagues GFR Media's Speaker Series, bringing to Puerto Rico leaders such as Ram Charan and SAP CEO's Bill McDermott. In 2015, Rafael launched GFR Media's first english language newsletter, Puerto Rico Business Insights. Under his leadership, Rafael has reached out and opened up his media outlets to emerging segments such as the startup community as well as various women's groups that strive for gender equality in the business world, giving them an important platform to raise their voices and fight for their rights.
