Save the Harbor/Save the Bay is a non-profit organization that aims to provide Boston's citizens with clean beaches they are able to enjoy throughout the warm months. As an environmental policy intern, I have a range of responsibilities. They include drafting comment letters to legislators, assisting in the implementation of annual fundraising events, and performing data analysis for 2015's Urban Beach Study, to be released in the summer of 2016. Save the Harbor/Save the Bay is a non-profit organization that aims to provide Boston's citizens with clean beaches they are able to enjoy throughout the warm months. Within the facilities department at Boston University, sustainability@BU coordinates on-campus sustainability initiatives designed to make BU a greener institution. I assist on a range of projects, including the implementation of waste-reduction practices for the university’s fitness facilities, as well as research for the introduction of new sustainability events directed towards the student population. I also work at events hosted by sustainability@BU.
