Collaborated with team to align standards and curriculum across a freshman level Design and Technology course. Implemented the curriculum as a project based Design and Technology class to introduce students to the engineering design process. Measured growth in basic electronics standards across 3 projects. Growth measurements showed that 95% of students made at least 75% improvement in content knowledge through completing the project based curriculum. Mentored students enrolled in senior engineering research to complete capstone high school research and design projects. Created and implemented a project-based curriculum for a new engineering class to introduce students to the 5 main fields of engineering. Tailored curriculum for both virtual and in-person education. Designed and implemented the Biology curriculum for a special education small group class and Chemistry curriculum for general education chemistry classes. Designed a research study for biology classrooms to examine what type of classroom environment was most effective for English Language Learners and Special Education students. Study results agreed with findings in other research that in classrooms with more than 20% identified students, co-taught classes did not provide additional support.
