I contributed to the requirements capture and use case definition, as well as developed a RESTful presentation layer (based on Jersey) for the software named OGSA-DAI. ADMIRE: http://www.admire-project.eu Leader of “Work Package 3: Test, Delivery and Support” from start to finish of this data intensive research project. Succeeded in having this EU project of total funding of 4.2 million € reviewed as “excellent”. During the lifespan of the project, designed and implemented the test platform, new software components (based on Java/REST/Spring/Hibernate) and extended the existing ones (like OGSA-DAI). MSc in High Performance Computing: http://www.epcc.ed.ac.uk/msc “Test infecting” the students by lecturing and leading tutorials on “Unit testing”, “Extreme Programming and Agile Methods” and "Cloud Computing Use Cases". MapReduce: Advised (as a technical reviewer) on the project investigating the usage of Hadoop/MapReduce and clouds (Amazon EC2 and Eucalyptus) for the analysis of post-genomic data.
