Radd was born and raised in Lincoln, NE and joined The Weitz Company in 1983 upon graduation from the University of Nebraska - Lincoln with Bachelor of Science degrees in both Construction Management and Civil Engineering. He had been with the company for almost 33 years. Initial assignments were in the Boston area for seven years in engineering, superintendent, business development, marketing, and project management helping start the new Boston area division in 1985. Then Radd spent six years in the Des Moines area in business development, project management, and preconstruction services. In 1995 Radd and his family moved to Omaha, NE as Vice-President of the newly created Omaha Division, focused on business development. In 1998 he assumed responsibilities as Nebraska Division President, opened a Lincoln office in 2000, and added additional responsibilities as President of Weitz Kansas City in 2006. They moved to Overland Park, KS in 2006 while Radd managed both the Nebraska and Kansas/Missouri operations through 2009. From 2009 – 2011 Weitz restructured responsibilities and Radd managed company wide business development planning, budgets, and implementation across seven office locations and nationally. Radd then served as Executive Vice President managing the Kansas/Missouri operations as well as several national accounts and pursuits. He is a former member of the company's Board of Directors. Radd’s personal project experience has included a variety of commercial, industrial, and federal building projects across the country, from project inception through construction, and beyond. Client relationships have always been the key. Community involvement has included chamber and economic development activities, several area boards, education advancement, past Leadership programs, and various non-profit entities.
