Rachel has taken at least three classes I have taught. In every one, she has shown herself to be a leader. She has a very full and busy life, in and out of the classroom. She does not shy away from hard work, and she takes her responsibilities seriously. In each case, she has always worked to create a product that meets her own high expectations. In my Strategic Communication Campaigns Capstone course in spring 2016, Rachel worked with a team of three to develop a campaign for United Way of Central Minnesota’s 50th anniversary in 2017. She and her team created a situation and audience analysis, conducted and analyzed primary research on the target audience of leaders in giving, wrote measurable outcomes, and designed strategy, tactics, a budget and timetable for completion of the campaign proposals. They then presented the proposals to United Way. In all efforts, Rachel and her team members have exceeded expectations. I would be pleased to work with Rachel in the future, and I believe you would, too.
