Weekend Sports Anchor
-
Jun 2022 - Present
Cover the El Paso Chihuahuas (Triple A), El Paso Locomotive FC (USL), FC Juarez (Liga MX), all sports at Division 1 schools UTEP and NMSU as well as all high school sports in the El Paso and Las Cruces area. I produce content for our newscasts on all of the aforementioned teams and schools by putting together feature stories that connect viewers to the players or team, reporting from games and practices, shooting highlights, conducting one-on-one interviews with head coaches of UTEP for our weekly segments, hosting Rachel’s Rally and our high school football show on Friday nights. This past year I’ve also led our extensive coverage of the hazing and sexual assault allegations within the NMSU men’s basketball program as well as the deadly shooting involving one of the players. With our station's partnership with UTEP I have also acted as the analyst for women’s basketball games airing on ESPN+ and Stadium. Show less

I was the sideline reporter for both the 2021 and 2022 national radio broadcast of the Tony the Tiger Sun Bowl. I worked with the broadcast team to bring listeners into the game and seamlessly provide numerous reports from the field with reactions from the bench, injury updates, in-game storylines, pre prepared storylines and interviews with coaches on either side of halftime and players post-game.
