Rachel acted as my solicitor during a "Breach of Contract" claim against my former employers. It was a fairly complex case and one which received a fair amount of coverage, in both the national and trade press. Throughout the entire process, Rachel was the consummate professional - highly knowledgeable in all matters of the law, challenging where necessary and appropriate, and keen to get into the detail, as well as punctual, courteous and extremely kind and considerate at all times. This was my first - and hopefully last - need for a lawyer in my life, but if they are all even half as capable as Rachel, then I have absolutely nothing to fear next time! Thank you again Rachel.

Rachel is a superstar in the making! Keep on the upward trajectory!

I worked as a Solicitor at Druces LLP, a full service City law firm. I joined as a Trainee Solicitor in November 2012 and qualified at the beginning of November 2014. I advised on Employment related matters both contentious and non-contentious. I particularly enjoyed looking at employee benefits, company re-organisations, the enforceability of restrictive covenants and negotiating settlement agreements.

I met with individuals who were seeking free legal advice on a range of issues from boundery disputes to employment rights. I then researched into their matters and discussed my findings with a qualified solicitor. We would then produce a letter of advice for the individuals and sometimes hold further meetings. I set up the student society at the University of Manchester for the Howard League for Penal Reform. I spoke with fellow Law students and set up a committee with the focus of raising awareness and funds for the charity. We had regular meets with an employee at the Howard League to discuss our progress and how we could develop further. Highlights include raising the highest amount from a single event in our first year for any Howard League student group.
