I am beyond fortunate to have worked under Rachel during her tenure at BBYO. As my region’s supervisor, Rachel not only cared about the greater organization, but each staff member's personal and professional growth. Whether or not Rachel worked directly with someone, she made sure everyone in our organization had a voice and purpose. She knows how to bring the best out of her team by inspiring and mentoring them. Rachel’s calming personality makes you feel completely comfortable, so you know you are always being heard and valued. She valued mutual respect with everyone she worked with, and was always there to listen to me and help me take risks. Rachel is incredible at pushing employees out of their comfort zones, and helped us reflect upon and learn from mistakes in order to help each person succeed and grow. Whenever I had a question or concern, Rachel responded right away and would even follow up later in the week to ensure my issues had been resolved. Throughout my time working with Rachel, she was able to coach me to be more confident in my work style, and she showed me that I matter to the bigger picture. Her patience and willingness to help me (and others) have helped keep me motivated to do the best job I can. Rachel always remained extremely calm under high pressure situations and was always able to manage unforeseen events smoothly without flaw. Any organization would be lucky to have Rachel as a part of their team, as she is a natural leader, a team player, and a true manager.

During my tenure at BBYO, Rachel was a person I knew I could count on for an honest, sincere opinion; someone who grew to be a valued sounding board and thought partner; and, most importantly, someone that I wanted on my team during times of change or turmoil. She has honed a skill set and professionalism that make her an asset to any team, particularly teams that need to be aligned or those that would be best served with steady leadership and mentoring. Rachel can calmly assess a situation, create an action plan, and lead its implementation...while also building constituent support internally and externally. She is an ideal fit for organizations that need compassionate leadership, especially in the midst of growth and/or change. I would love a chance to work again with Rachel directly! I'm grateful that we have continued to remain in touch as professional connections, but also as friends.
