A one week placement, specialising in the Wills and Probate department. I had the opportunity to read a variety of case files, catalogue client assets and to learn about the firm’s Intranet. I attended several client interviews to witness or to amend wills and to take instructions for a Lasting Power of Attorney. I was particularly pleased with the level responsibility that I received, in that the firm allowed me to draft and to finalise both LPAs and letters to clients. I visited court twice to hear a land dispute and a nuisance case. I also attended an auction to observe a contractual signing and exchange. I had the privilege of working with Marie Tisdale, Neil Faunch and Shelly Wainwright.
