As Sr Business Development Manager, I was responsible for establishing new sales channels, mainly focusing on internal and external online sales platforms. I managed partner relationships with other online platforms, as well as all aspects of the Straits Wine Company online store. As Digital Marketing Manager, in addition to managing the online store I implemented strategies for all social media channels, designed and sent bi-weekly email campaigns, wrote copy for product descriptions, press releases and EDMs, established and managed relationships with media and influencers, and oversaw all online orders. In addition I organised and hosted regular wine tastings, both weekly wine tastings in our retail outlets or for private/corporate events. What I loved about this position was that every day was different- I was meeting new clients, curating a personalised event, seeking out new connections and sales channels, creating a pop-up store or brain-storming about social media strategies. By the end of my 6 years I was the most requested teacher with a waiting list for all of my classes. I even created new classes and curriculums due to demand. Restaurant Manager

I was the restaurant manager at beautiful Denali National Park in Alaska, at two different restaurants. I managed the Saloon, coffee bar and restaurant which sat up to 250 guests, with 34 employees and 2 assistant managers in my team. At the end of the dormant winter season I prepared the restaurant for opening, hired employees, acquired equipment and supplies and worked with the Chef and wine distributors to design menus. I was responsible for all training, schedules, reports and all day to day management of the venues, reporting to the Resort Director. The park is only open during the tourist season from mid-May to mid-September, during which time we had over $1 million USD in sales.
