I teach people how to sell and managers how to run their sales teams for different business development projects. From field coaching to working alongside CEOs, I come into companies to discover their strengths and what needs to be improved. I then create a plan for my client to achieve its sales goals, and I help implement it.My clients typically include NGOs, social enterprises, and startups in emerging countries. To date, my clients include: - 2018: ACF (Action contre la Faim/Action against hunger) in Toliara, Madagascar; discovery project on sanitation and water conservation.- 2019: MyAgro in Sedhiou, Senegal;*** The 2 sales teams I was in charge of at MyAgro both broke their company record by collecting 100% of the money for their customers' orders, and they finished at 1st and 2nd place out of 14 sales teams in the country for collections. ***- 2019-2020: USAID in Nairobi, Kenya; I was sent by investors to work for an agricultural startup called Tulaa.- 2020-present: iDE in Phnom Penh, Cambodia; I am now working on retraining the Hydrologic team to hit their targets in selling water filters in rural villages from the border of Thailand to the border of Vietnam.Additionally, I serve as a French-English Translator on WRP conference calls and during training sessions.

English Teaching Assistant
-
Oct 2015 - May 2017
As a teaching assistant at Lycee Nicolas Bremontier, I write lesson plans for my students, grade papers, run a weekly foreign language lunch club, assist English teachers within the classroom, and lead my own classes with a focus on oral expression. Not only do I teach high school students, but I also work with BTS or community college students in the marketing department. Using my sales background, I train students in mock negotiations and teach the cycle of sales to young adults who go on to apply their studies in real-life prospecting during their internship programs.

Student Manager

May 2011 - Aug 2013
I ran my own business 80 hours per week in the summertime selling educational books, software, and an online component from the Southwestern Advantage product line for the Southwestern Summer Sales and Leadership Program (the top rated internship in the US - 2019 Charles F. Kettering Award). Following a week of intensive sales school in Nashville, TN, I relocated to Houston, TX for my 1st summer, San Antonio, TX for my 2nd, and Kenosha, WI for my 3rd. By speaking to thousands of people door-to-door, I gained a better understanding of homeschooling, private, and public education while obtaining experience in marketing, advertising, finance, and communication. After the completion of my summer in Houston as a 1st year student dealer, I was promoted to student manager, a year-round position for returning student dealers. During the school year, I would survey classes, interview students, speak in information sessions on campus, and attend recruiting seminars in Tennessee, Georgia, Maryland, and Pennsylvania. During my last 2 summers, I continued to run my own business, but I would also provide on-the-job training for 1st year student dealers, give coaching calls, and help lead our weekly Sunday meetings.Check out my Facebook fan page to read testimonials from my customers and see pictures at this link: https://www.facebook.com/RachelTheBookGirlShenkman

Resident Assistant
-
Feb 2011 - May 2012
I was in charge of 70 residents on my floor. For these girls, I created and put on educational programs, decorated, made sure rules were not broken, served as a campus resource, and developed community. In addition, I worked at the front desk of the residence hall, did post office work, collaborated with the hall counsel, made online advertisements, and wrote for the building's newsletter.

Desk Assistant
-
Jun 2010 - Feb 2011
3-4 nights per week, I worked the graveyard shift from 4-8am at the front desk of a residence hall. I would keep a written and electronic log for all significant occurrences, watch surveillance monitors, and assist students by answering questions or referring them to a higher power of authority.
