Rachel and I worked closely together for two quarters to help improve the user experience of our university partners, the paying users of RaiseMe's two-sided marketplace. Rachel (design) and I (user research) built a compelling narrative around a series of pain points that our users were experiencing and its impact on our business. Not only did her line of questioning helped to articulate the problem statement not only in words, but her design skills visualize this experience in a compelling way. Additionally. she volunteered to join me on a series of user interviews while we designed an adjacent survey to collect & eventually overlay data. These artifacts became one of the critical talking points as we spoke with vertical and lateral stakeholders to inform a product strategy pivot, leading to two high impact features. These became especially critical as our university partners begin to examine the user experience / ROI of the platform with more scrutiny as their budgets tighten due to the impact of COVID. She's one of the most open-minded, empathetic, and curious colleagues I've worked with and I'm excited for the future opportunity to collaborate with again!

When it comes to design, Rachel is the complete package. She is a supremely talented designer who has a clear passion for her craft. She has a deep understanding of user-centered design that carries through all areas of her design process, from writing strategic project briefs, wireframing, high-fidelity, prototyping, to coding. Her work is masterful and that’s because it’s clear Rachel genuinely loves what she does. Rachel single-handedly created our RaiseMe identity system including logo and branding. She thoughtfully approaches her projects and works successfully across departments to get the job done. She is one of the hardest-working and dedicated designers I know. Rachel has also proven to be a true leader, as she leads the RaiseMe Style Guide efforts that are instrumental to our unified design systems. In addition, she successfully manages contractors, works great with engineers and product managers, all while delivering work at fast-paced start-up speeds. As an illustrator, she has provided our team so many beautiful pieces that we use throughout our site and collateral. She understands the design principles and carries them in everything she does. She is gracious and open with feedback, yet not afraid to explain her point of view. I admire her willingness to learn and develop new skills. What you won’t see on Rachel’s resume is the caring, thoughtful, and intelligent person that she is. Rachel would be an excellent addition to any design team.

We are focused on creating social asynchronous mobile gaming experiences. We experiment with new technologies and combinations of technologies to discover new social experiences. Apple featured our first two products with the iOS 10 Launch. With over 1M downloads across both MsgMe WordGuess and MsgMe TicTacToe, large audiences played our high-quality iMessage games. Two other company experiments include: 1) Harvest, an Idle RPG mixed with Civilization progression mixed with co-operative gameplay 2) Road Trip, a location-based, social sharing game using public photos to virtually create the traveling experience 3) Epic Selfie, combining video camera, recorded gameplay, and smart-editing to create high-quality, sharable, social, selfie moments.
