The focus of the study was population dynamics of Indo-Pacific Bottlenose Dolphins. Using a 17 ft. skiff we took pictures of dolphins encountered along the Bunbury coastline and surrounding estuaries. The dolphins were identified later using ACDSee and data input into FinBase. Following the BP oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico the CEBD was awarded a grant to determine the effects of the deep-water Horizon oil spill; I worked under this grant. Our team collected water samples off the coast of Pensacola, Destin, and Panama City Florida. My job was to complete the bacteria counts for each of these water samples.
