I have been privileged to go into the community to engage with participants. I provide in-the-field crisis intervention, counseling, treatment, support, and case management for transition-age youth (TAY) and adults with severe and persistent mental illness. This means I respectfully go into the homes and communities of Oakland/Hayward community members to conduct assessments, check in on well-being, and coordinate services as needed. Assertive Community Treatment is predicated on meeting the client where they are, both physically and emotionally in support of the tenet that participants thrive best in their own environment. Therapeutic engagement is done in natural exchanges and outside of clinical settings in nearly all instances. Some modalities I’ve used for intervention include Traumatic Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Trauma- Focused CBT, Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR), Dialectal Behavior Therapy (DBT), Family Systems Counseling, and Somatic Experiencing. I’m honored to step into these people’s lives if only for an hour or two per week, to offer direct support, resources, and compassion. Show less

In my prior life, I ran a boutique real estate investment company, handling transactions across residential, multi-family, and long- and short-term rental properties concentrated in California as well as Mexico. I owned every aspect of the business, including setting up policies, marketing, strategy and development, engaging customers and prospects, attending to emergencies, coordinating vendors, collecting payments, and managing the books. Early in my career, I launched and operated a fitness franchise for a couple of years, enjoying sold-out classes 5-6 days per week. Once again, relationships were at the core of what I did, hiring instructors, teaching classes myself, securing corporate sponsors, and executing joint-venture promotions with other small business owners. Baby Boot Camp – national pre-and post-natal fitness franchiser in 100+ locations Alamo, CA ▪; Grew franchise from just a single class in 1 city to 3 packed classes per day for6 days a week, drawing in members from 5 East Bay zip codes. Expanded to from 2 to 5 territories within two years through outstanding sales and marketing. Formed strong B2B relationships, establishing highly successful, low-cost cross-marketing opportunities. Developed a strong brand presence and maintained outstanding customer satisfaction. Sold business for 150% profit after only two years of operation. Show less
