Such a wonderful role! Keeping a large caseload organised (and colour coded) was a juggling act but so rewarding. To speak to people beginning their fostering journey to becoming approved foster carers is what makes phoning and chasing references so so worth it. My responsibilities included: • Ensuring that prospective Foster Carer’s statutory checks and references are obtained in a timely and efficient manner to meet deadlines • Making sure to be highly organised and keep own case load up to date and present completed paperwork to a high level • Keeping a positive rapport with our applicants, ensuring communication is a priority throughout their assessment • Liaise with places of employment and other professionals to ensure references come back in a timely manner • Using DBS checking systems to process certificates

As an outbound sales agent, my duties include making outbound customer calls to introduce and sell our products to our clients, engaging in a ‘soft-sell’ model and adapting a script to make it my own, along with finding my own personal selling style. It is my duty to follow our ethical and professional best practice guidelines whilst communicating with clients on calls, keeping to quality standards whilst over the phones and processing orders. Making sure to keep client information private whilst administrating member’s information through our platform and call logging system.

Working within a cinema host role it is essential that I make a fantastic first impression with our guests, often as a first point of contact we want them to feel welcome and comfortable their entire visit. As a cinema host you are trusted to perform varying roles from day to day, this includes welcoming guests, selling tickets and food on retail and ensuring that screens are in a clean state within strict deadlines. This role has allowed me to develop my communication skills with the interaction with the customers, engaging them on a friendly basis, as well as up selling and ensuring that they are getting the best value for money, therefore knowing most recent and ongoing deals is a must.

I would help to run the restaurant on a busy Sunday afternoon, being front of house, being first point of contact for customers, greeting guests, seating them and making them feel comfortable. I'd also wait my own section of tables and help to prepare food in the kitchen, ensuring their meals were to a high standard. In evening functions I would sometimes oversee the whole team, making sure things ran smoothly as meals were called out- making sure that customers were happy with their experience. Delegating skills were improved upon greatly in this role, I went from being an every day team member to someone with more responsibility and often had to oversee a whole host of smaller jobs in the kitchen as well as in front of house.
