I supervise a small staff of 3 production assistants who are tasked with reformatting books to make them accessible to patrons with print disabilities. My day-to-day tasks include supervising the productions assistants, checking for titles to produce for patron/librarian requests, converting reformatted books using DAISY software (pipeline and Word2Epub plugin), communicating with volunteer libraries for content creation, publishing all finished books in our repository, and helping with or advising on any other projects as needed including Collections Development, Purchasing, and testing new software for book conversion.

This work included an environmental survey of what other libraries have done for Digital Privacy on their sites, and a 20 page written report on my findings with 10 recommendations.   Edmonton, Alberta, Canada I assisted on a project about the Socio-Emotional Motivations of users on Academic Stack Exchange through the School of Library and Information Science at UAlberta. I collected and analyzed data for the project using Nvivo to code a random selection of questions and answers fro Academic Stack Exchange. I also designed an add for our survey, and helped contact potential subjects through email and twitter.

I created spreadsheets of the metadata for a collection of Government Documents that were being scanned for the University Database. I would also check to see if each document was already preserved in Archive-It. The spreadsheets corresponded with the order of the items on the library carts, which I would send to the scanners to be scanned.
