Rachel is a dedicated, motivated and positive force to have on any team. I thoroughly enjoyed being in a group with her. She makes a valuable team member, any team would be lucky to have her on board. Fast learner, bright ideas and inspirational!

      • Jun 2020 - Present

After graduating from the full-time Coding Bootcamp powered by The George Washington University, I actively keep up on honing my skills in JavaScript, Node.JS, Express, Mongo along with building skills with the MERN stack. Currently working on a project to showcase my Crochet and Knitting Projects that I can easily insert and keep track of what I have finished and what I am working. Within the application, I am developing an inventory system to keep track of all the yarn I have acquired over the years to easily search for what I want to use for a new project and compare it to what I already have in stock. I will eventually be creating my own patterns to share and sell with other lovers of Raverly and Yarn and create a landing page for other designers to visit and interact with my creations.

While working part time for Church Hall as a bartender and shift manager, I took on the responsibilities of handling the company's online social marketing. As a Georgetown Neighborhood Sports Bar, I used digital marketing to promote the location's events to the local community and sports teams in the DMV area. I was successful in gaining exposure for the company especially during important moments in sports history for local teams including the 2019 World Series Champs, The Washington Nationals. Introduced into the world of craft brewing in this iconic eating and drinking establishment known throughout the world for its selection of over 1,200 beers. Started as a server, rapidly promoted to bartender and manager positions. Served as a team leader to staff, emphasizing high standards of service to customers while preserving the legacy and values of the founding family. Remained current in knowledge of products on hand, and monitored product inventory to ensure that consumer needs were met. Identified the need for education on historical and sensory aspects of craft beer and in turn started my own beer school curriculum and classes, complementing the Brickskeller’s marketing programs.
