After five years of starting a family, I returned to the workforce performing administrative and clerical duties in a warehouse. My key responsibilities include overseeing all scheduling and shipping of will call orders, receiving and documenting all deliveries, verifying all documentation, processing paperwork, report generation, and updating the database. One of my key achievements was identifying gaps in the process and streamlining process improvements which proved to be cost-saving and increased productivity among team members. My main duties were to provide administrative support to 6 department managers and to coordinate business processes between the sales and operations departments. Other duties included payroll, accounting, reception, customer service, prioritizing the daily workload, scheduling appointments, working cross-functionally, etc. The communication between the 6 departments was lacking and somewhat chaotic.
