I have the joy of overseeing an after-school program of 115 students in kindergarten through 8th grade at a local Chicago Public School. In addition to planning and implementing engaging daily activities, I also oversee a team of 10 staff & 8 youth leaders weekly. Outside of overseeing the after-school program, I also have the privilege of planning & managing all aspects of an 8-week summer camp for 300 weekly campers. As Program Director for the Magic After-School Place I recruit and hire staff, recruit volunteers, and maintain a student enrollment of 50 kids. I plan and implement daily curriculum for kindergarten - 7th grade students, as well as create and facilitate leadership programs for 5th - 7th grade students. I work alongside my staff to facilitate homework help, group games, team building activities, and crafts. In addition to developing curriculum that focuses on positive character development, I also have the privilege of facilitating high school volunteers on a daily basis.
