In my role at Kahane Law Office, I was the marketing and communications coordinator and client care supervisor. As a part of my responsibilities, I helped network at golf tournaments when the law firm sponsored golf holes. This helped me develop good communication skills and networking skills as I needed to approach people to market the law firm. Another skill I had developed while working at the law firm was writing blog posts and creating webpages. I have background knowledge using WordPress which is a software that lets you edit and create webpages. This summer student position also developed my organizational skills as I was responsible for organizing scanned files. I organized and assigned client files to different lawyers as well as contacting clients when their file is ready.

Working in a restaurant is primarily part of being on a team, therefore running food to tables is also something that you need to fit into your service. Other important skills that I have developed in this position are being detailed oriented and having good communication skills. This is a position in which you have to work in a fast-paced environment as well as working under pressure with a positive attitude to make sure that guests service runs smoothly.

As a camp counsellor one of the biggest responsibilities is giving campers an incredible experience during their summer, while ensuring that they are safe. Working with young children often means that you are working in a hectic environment. During my position as a camp counsellor, I developed many skills that have been useful in other jobs. I developed organizational skills, and the ability to stay calm in hectic situations, as well as developing problem-solving skills. As a counsellor it is your responsibility to help resolve problems that arise between campers in a minimal amount of time. Another part of the job is being able to work well in a team environment. You have to make sure that you are communicating well with your team, so your campers stay safe, but have a great summer so they keep coming back each summer.
