Rachel Jones has helped cultivate my experience, perspective and pursuit of racial equity and social justice for community health workers by creating an environment where I can hone my voice as a writer and advocate. I highly highly recommend her as a writing mentor.

Rachel is a brilliant writing coach. She is a natural mentor thanks to her keen ear for language and the compassionate way in which she guides you to find your own voice. Rachel helped me to channel my oral storytelling abilities into my writing thereby giving me yet another tool with which I could challenge the racist narratives about my communities. Rachel is Masterclass!

In August of 2010, I was awarded a $45,000 grant from the UK's Wellcome Trust to establish the Kenyan Alliance of Health and Science Reporters Journalism training project. I'm now focusing on International Consulting around health and research issues, as I continue to mentor and train journalists, editors, public health officials, NGO's and private companies committed to nurturing better coverage of health and research related issues.
