The schools share specials teachers, so for two and a half days I'm at Perry-Worth Elementary and then the other two and a half days I'm at Central Elementary. In charge of visual arts education for 700+ students kindergarten through fifth grade. Filling a maternity leave at two elementary schools in the district. Equestrian Camp Counselor
-
May 2011 - Aug 2011
I was in charge of making lesson plans every week that were ground lessons as well as classroom lessons to teach and assess the equestrian knowledge of the campers. I filled the necessary counselor duties of helping at the lake front and pool as a watcher, making sure the cabin was clean and tidy. Writing individual letters home to the parents about each camper to make sure they knew what was going on at camp, as well as to add a personal connection with that family. Making sure the campers were following the rules and getting along with one another, as well as leading nightly devotionals and making sure that my campers were having the best overall experience they I could provide.
