I was ultimately responsible for the success and management of the Events department. I ran YGT golf days, hosted clients at international tournaments and activated YGT sponsorship. I implemented annual budget forecasting and reconciliation, therefore increased efficiency, developed a post event measurement scale, improved customer communications pre-, during and post-event and developed many supplier relationships.I managed a programme of corporate and client golf days, from conception through to delivery. I led a team of YGT staff and contractors to ensure events were within budget and generated profit. Many of these events were in collaboration with celebrities and sporting icons, including YGT’s brand ambassadors Darren Clarke, Lee Westwood and Charley Hull, and as a result attract significant media attention. Consequently, I gained excellent talent management skills and liaised with agents. I led the on-site guest management programmes at The Masters and The Open. During my time at YGT, I hosted over 3000 guests and VIPs and managed a team of 11 employees over three cities in the USA for the Masters and a team of 5 employees at each Open. I oversaw all ticket, hospitality, transport and accommodation arrangements on site. As the most senior member of staff on site, I was ultimately responsible for dealing with customer queries and complaints and was always confident in decision making and problem solving under pressure. In 2014 and 2015, I coordinated the sponsorship activation of the Portugal Masters. I had regular contact with the European Tour to ensure our contractual entitlements were met. I worked with our marketing team to create innovative ideas through which company visibility and data capture opportunities were maximised to achieve a good ROI.

I managed operations for the UPS events and hospitality programme during the London 2012 Olympic Games. Based in the BAFTA building in Piccadilly, we welcomed over 2000 of UPS’ guests.I also oversaw the UPS sponsorship and hospitality programme at two major European Golf Tour events. I liaised with both the rights holder and the client to ensure contractual entitlements were upheld and branding opportunities were maximised. For Windows Phone, I managed and delivered a successful promotional campaign launching Windows 8. I sourced and managed staff and suppliers to construct promotional stands that adhered to Microsoft licencing stipulations across 15 venues within the UK.

For each round of the competition, I was assigned a tie and then it was my sole responsibility to work with the National Association to ensure all aspects of the event were organised in accordance with ITF Regulations. This ranged from areas such as International and Domestic Sponsor rights, media, TV broadcasting, event marketing, and hospitality to the field of play, players, and tournament officials. I approved all marketing materials and coordinated official functions such as draw ceremonies and dinners. On site, I was the main point of contact for local organisers, sponsors, players, TV broadcasters and media. I completed post-event evaluations and reported back to the organisers with feedback for future events. I managed, forecasted and reviewed several departmental budgets. I was the account manager for Hewlett Packard (HP); one of the International Sponsors for the Davis Cup Competition. I worked closely with their internal and agency teams to select target markets for each round to boost overall ROI through their sponsorship rights. I carried out pre-event site visits with local HP representatives to assess ways in which they could maximise customer experience as well as take full advantage of brand visibility opportunities.
